Introducing Hi-Tech Pharmaceutical's new natural pain management
product, Pain-Rx which combines both the analgesic effect of natural
opioid agonists with natural COX-2 inhibitors. People who experience
minor pain, chronic discomfort, and constant or frequent muscle pain
need to give the amazing product a try. Pain-Rx is the solution both
over-the-counter and prescription pain medicines have unsuccessfully
addressed from a safety and efficacy standpoint.
Note: This product
contains: Chiococca Alba: A plant known to contain coumarins, alkanes,
and lignans known to help alleviate pain with an ethanolic extract
from the dried leaves. Mimosa Pudica: A plant that has been shown to
alleviate pain and is also used as an antispasmadic, muscle relaxant,
and anti-inflammatory. Lactuca Virosa: Known as "lettuce opium" due to
its mild sedative and analgesic effects. White Willow Bark Extract:
Reduces aches, pains and inflammation. Boswella Serrata: An herb shown
to exhibit anti-inflammatory activity and Clinical trials have shown
beneficial effects in rheumatoid arthritis. Phellodendren Amurense: An
amazing herb that has been shown to inhibit COX-2 enzymes.
Information about COX-2 enzyme & COX-2 Inhibitors from Hi-Tech
Pharmaceuticals: excerpt
from "The Market for Joint-Care and Natural Pain Relievers is Growing
Rapidly!" by Beverly Coleman, Ph.D. as featured in Hi-Tech Health &
Fitness Magazine, April 2006
"There are two
cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes working in the body, COX-1 and COX-2. So
what are the roles of the COX enzymes? The COX-1 enzyme is present in
most tissues, and is necessary for many important internal functions,
such as protecting the stomach lining, maintaining renovascular
function and platelet aggregation. The COX-2 enzyme is necessary in
quelling inflammation- a normal, healthy attempt made by the body to
heal itself. However, when inflammation becomes problematic (such as
the case of arthritis, or other chronic inflammatory disorders),
ongoing pain and discomfort is the result. This is where herbal COX-2
inhibitors (are) essential. Boswellia, phellodendron, turmeric, and
hops have all demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties in their role
as herbal COX-2 inhibitors.
Phellodendron
amurense is a unique anti-inflammatory for natural pain management.
Proven safe, the plant's active constituents can promote
cardiovascular health. Without interfering with key enzymes that are
necessary for keeping the stomach lining healthy, phellodendron
amurense has the unique ability to prevent certain enzymes from
causing inflammation. It has been shown to block 95% of COX-2
production, essentially "shutting off" the source where inflammation
takes place.
Herbal COX-2
Inhibitors:
The ancient spice
tumeric, is bright yellow and has been used as a medicine and
traditional remedy for centuries. Curcumin is the active component of
turmeric. It is as effective as cortisone, in models of acute
inflammation; however, while cortisone is associated with significant
toxicity, curcumin displays no such toxicity. Curcumin was also found
to be useful for reducing inflammation, pain, and stiffness, according
to research done on people with rheumatoid arthritis. In a double
blind study, curcuminoids were found to be superior to a plecebo or
the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, phenylbutazone, for
alleviating inflammation.
The resin of
Boswellia serrata is used traditionally for a variety of inflammatory
diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Boswellic
acids are the main constituents of the resin, which have been found to
inhibit the synthesis of leukotriens (inflammatory compounds produced
when oxygen interacts with polyunsaturated fatty acids). The key
enzyme of leukotriene biosynthesis, Boswellic acid, exhibits no
signifianct side effects or toxicity, unlike pharmaceutical
coricosteroids that inhibit 5-lipoxygenase.
Hops is known
primaily as the flavoring agent in beer, although it has recently been
found to inhibit COX-2. Research shows an extract of hops, high in
alpha acids, exhibited COX-2 inhibition over nine hours. This is the
equivalent to 400 mg of ibuprofen. What ws especially beneficial was
that this extract had very mild COX-1 inhibition. This means the alpha
acids in hops are less likely to induce gastric or stomach problems
than pharmaceutical agents.
SAME, or S-adenosyl-methionine,
is a remarkable compound discovered in Italy in 1952. Taking part in
several biological reactions in the human body, it is a biological
compound that is found in every living cell. SAME is also considered a
critical compound for the maintenance of cartilage.
It has been well
studies in Germany and Italy for its positive effects on
osteoarthritis, which is a natural consequence of aging joints. In one
fascinating study, SAME even surpassed the effectiveness of ibuprofen
in people with osteoarthritis in their hops and knees. SAME exhibited
slightly more marked activity in the management of the various painful
symptoms of the joint disease.
Crystalline
glucosamine HCL has some very exciting prospects as a natural and safe
treatment for inflammatory joint conditions. Various studies have
found that by adding crystalline glucosamine HCL back into the body in
supplement form, connective tissue healing and regeneration is
enhanced. The fact that this amazing compound treats the root of
osteoarthritis, rather than just masking its symptoms, is of
particular interest. Standard drug therapies tend to treat or mask the
symptoms. Its main function is its ability to repair joints that have
deteriorated, however, the pain relieving effect is quite noticeable
with crystalline glucosamine HCL. Many glucosamine sulfate products
are poorly absorbed, therefore do not produce results like crystalline
glucosamine HCL.
Low molecular
weight chondroitin sulfate is the perfect complement to glucosamine.
The two work together synergistically to initiate the product of new
cartilage while protecting existing cartilate tissues. Low molecular
weight chondroitin sulfate works at the cellular level to alleviate
what causes arthritis pain in the first place, a task that no existing
drug can accomplish.
The chemical
structure of this compound helps to create a watery, shock-absorbing
space within cartilage tissue. In other words, low molecular weight
chondroitin sulfate helps to enhance the fluid protection within joint
systems, resulting in better lubrication and nutrient transport. Low
molecular weight chondroitin sulfate is also absorbed much more
efficiently than regular chondroitin products. This is due to the fact
that the weight of the molecule is too high to be bioavailable."
